Is The Laneige Bouncy & Firm Sleeping Mask Worth The Hype?

Ever wondered why face sleeping masks have become so popular? Well, for starters, these load your skin with lots and lots of moisture overnight. A sleeping mask is one of the best ways to improve your skin hydration levels while you sleep, and wake up to soft and supple skin.

With so many brands coming up with their own version of a “sleeping mask”, it can get overwhelming to choose one. While some are loaded with the goodness of Hyaluronic Acid for a boost of hydration, others come infused with Centella Asiatica, which not only hydrates the skin but also calms and soothes it overnight – the choices are endless.

One brand that has been ruling the sleeping mask segment for quite some time now is Laneige. The iconic Water Sleeping Mask quickly became popular for its lightweight gel-like texture, while the Centella Asiatica variant is best suited for those with irritated skin. Recently, the brand launched its newest sleeping mask variant with its Bouncy & Firm Sleeping Mask, which caters to all skin types and comes loaded with many skin benefits!

Laneige Bouncy & Firm Sleeping Mask

As the name suggests, this Laneige sleeping mask gives radiant, visibly smoother and bouncy-looking skin. It is formulated with a Peony & Collagen Complex that revitalizes the skin and makes it visibly firm overnight. This gentle sleeping mask comes in a unique sorbet-like texture with Hydro-Melt Glow Capsules that burst upon application, and mimic the skin’s lipids to protect the moisture barrier and hydrate and nourish while you sleep.

This Laneige mask has a noticeable floral scent which is quite pleasant, meant to promote a good night’s sleep. The brand claims that when used regularly, the mask can help visibly reduce fine lines, and wrinkles, and improve radiance and glow.

How Is The New Bouncy & Firm Mask Different From The Other Laneige Sleeping Masks?

The Water Sleeping Mask & Cica Sleeping Mask by Laneige have been a cult-favourite for many years. Each of these sleeping masks caters to a different skin type and promises different benefits.

How To Use The Laneige Bouncy & Firm Sleeping Mask?

This sleeping mask is to be used as the last step of your skincare routine. Follow your regular nighttime skincare routine of cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer. Then, take a generous amount of the Laneige mask and gently massage it all over your face and neck. As you massage it, you will notice that the capsules start to burst and form a protective layer on your skin, giving a smooth finish that’s not sticky, greasy or oily.

If you have very oily skin, you might want to skip the moisturizer and apply the sleeping mask. It makes the skin look plump with hydration and well-refreshed in the morning!

Are Sleeping Masks A Must-Have?

In my opinion, sleeping masks are not a must-have, but rather a good-to-have product in your skincare routine. These are a savior for dull, dry, and dehydrated skin, and load it up with lots of hydration while you sleep. Nowadays, there are a plethora of sleeping masks that offer a number of skin benefits, so if you do not feel the need for a nourishing sleeping mask, you can try some of the other ones that cater to your skincare concerns. And as for me, this Laneige Bouncy & Firm Sleeping Mask has turned out to a staple in my nighttime routine, gently moisturizing and nourishing my skin overnight. I do use the popular water sleeping mask too but the new variant is no doubt one of the best sleeping masks out there!
